External Coil Spring Compressor Set

Versatile Functionality: Ideal for removing and installing coil springs when access through the center is restricted. Suitable for both straight and curved coil springs.
Robust Construction: Includes durable U-bolts and wing nuts for secure operation. The maximum diameter of the spring hooks accommodates up to 0.75 inches, while the rod diameter measures 5/8 inches.
Instructions for Straight Coil Springs:

Setup: Position three leg assemblies evenly around the spring and tighten the nuts finger-tight to secure them.
Attachment: Install one U-bolt near the center of each leg, ensuring the open end points away from the spring. Place the bar and wing nuts on the U-bolt and finger-tighten the wing nuts.
Compression: Gradually tighten each leg nut to compress the spring evenly; avoid over-compressing.
Release: Loosen each leg nut gradually to safely release the compressor.
Instructions for Curved Coil Springs:

Preparation: With the vehicle raised and securely supported, place a jack under the lower control arm to compress the spring.
Installation: Attach as many leg assemblies and safety U-bolts as possible, tightening the leg nuts finger-tight.
Removal: Disconnect the lower control arm bolts and slowly lower the jack until the spring can be safely removed, maintaining the curved contour.
Installation of New Spring: Utilize one or more legs and U-bolts to create the necessary curve for the new coil spring.
