Description

The Micro-Tec CO2 Radiator Leak Test Kit with Fluid is a fast and reliable diagnostic tool designed to detect combustion gas leaks in vehicle cooling systems. By identifying the presence of CO2 in the radiator, this kit helps confirm head gasket failures, cracked or warped cylinder heads, and cracked engine blocks without the need for strip-downs.

The test is performed by inserting the leak-check unit into the radiator filler opening and running the engine at idle. If combustion gases are present, the blue test fluid changes to yellow within 60 seconds, clearly indicating a leak — even very small ones. For more precise diagnosis, individual cylinders can be isolated by disconnecting one spark plug at a time and repeating the test.
